Today’s class…

… was really freakin’ hard for me. The entire thing was a mental battle from the very first movement to the last. Coming back to training after time off is always tough, but this was exceptionally hard. The workout this morning (thanks, Cindy!) was as follows:

– 2 minutes of jump rope

– Tabata Rounds; 6 exercises (well, 4 really), 8 rounds

  • 1) Burpees
  • 2) Plate Carry – 35lb plate
  • 3) Medicine Ball Slams – 12lb medicine ball
  • 4) Plate Carry – 35lb plate
  • 5) Pushups
  • 6) Plate Carry – 35lb plate
    – 3 Minutes of planks

Although it was tough and, at times I wanted to just sort of rest for a second, I didn’t. I kept pushing and made it though.

In other news… I think I have been doing pretty good with my eating. I have all but entirely cut cheese/dairy out of my diet with exceptions here and there. If anything, there’s a drastic reduction. Previously, I would eat cheese whenever I could ON whatever I could. Now, I think I can actually count the times on one hand that I have ingested cheese/dairy this week.

I probably can’t say the same for this upcoming weekend, although, I will do my best. Tonight, we are going to the Hyde Park Bar & Grill for dinner to celebrate Jason’s birthday. Tomorrow is Valentine’s day which is being exclusively planned by Victoria (can’t wait to see what she has in store… I currently have absolutely no idea).

I am really looking forward to the 3 day weekend. It is really needed…
